Term 3 Meeting
Making Connections: School and Public Libraries Working Together
Join the SLANSW Non-Teaching School Library Staff SIG for an informal online meeting with other library professionals. This session will explore how meaningful connections with local public libraries can benefit both staff and students.
Our guest speakers Helen Kassidis, Team Leader of Learning Experience at Burwood Library, and Clare Wong, Children’s Librarian at Burwood Library, will share successful initiatives that have strengthened partnerships with local schools and encouraged reading across the community.
This is a valuable opportunity for school librarians, library assistants, and technicians to hear directly from a public librarian, ask questions, and discuss ideas in an informal setting. Attendees are encouraged to share their own experiences and explore ways to build collaborative relationships with their local library services.
Whether you’re looking for practical ideas, inspiration, or simply a chance to connect with peers, this event offers a supportive space to exchange knowledge and strengthen professional networks.
This session will be held on Wednesday 30 July between 2 - 3pm in the SLANSW Zoom Room. PLEASE note the new start time of 2pm.
You must register to ensure you are sent the Zoom login details within 24hours before your session.
