Face-to-Face Networking for SLANSW Members
Term 3 Meeting:
Thursday 7th August at 4.30pm
The next Networking Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting with be held at PLC, Sydney (Croydon), on August 7, between 4:30 – 5:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other like-minded library staff and SLANSW members.
At this Networking SIG event we will continue our Professional Learning and Reading Club.
Once you have registered the following resources by Kasey L. Garrison and Kay Oddone will be shared for us to view, read and discuss at the meeting -

“It is a skill everybody needs to learn”: Australian teacher librarians steering secondary schools through shifting information landscapes
Some of these resources provide great teaching tools, while others will prompt you to think about how we navigate the everchanging information landscape. Suzanne Small eLearning Librarian at PLC, Sydney, will lead a collaborative review of these resources.
Opportunities for networking, afternoon tea, and an informal tour of the Macindoe Library with Sophie Partington (Director of Library Services) will also be available.
As a SLANSW member you are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to add 2 hours (pre-reading & participation) to your accrual of 100 hours of professional development.
This SIG is a platform to support members and encourage ongoing dialogue in our professional learning community. It is also only available to SLANSW members as a benefit of membership.
Afternoon Tea will be provided.
