Special Interest Group - Networking Greater Sydney
Face-to-Face Networking for SLANSW Members
Term 1 Meeting:
Thursday 5th March at 4.30pm
The first Greater Sydney Networking Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting for 2026, will be held at the Marion Corless Learning Resource Centre, St Vincent’s College, Potts Point on Thursday 5th March, between 4:30 – 5:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other like-minded library staff and SLANSW members.
At this Networking SIG event we will continue our Professional Learning and Reading Club.
Once you have registered the following resource will be shared for us to read and discuss at the meeting -
How do schools and teacher librarians deal with books from controversial authors?
Discussion on the professional learning materials will be led by Jody McDonnell, Head of Library and eLearning, St Vincent’s College.
Opportunities for networking, afternoon tea, and an informal tour of the Marion Corless Learning Resource Centre will also be available.
As a SLANSW member you are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to add 2 hours (pre-reading & participation) to your accrual of 100 hours of professional development.
This SIG is a platform to support members and encourage ongoing dialogue in our professional learning community. It is also only available to SLANSW members as a benefit of membership.
Afternoon Tea will be provided.
