All the Literacies focusing on the Digital and AI areas to provide leadership and practical learning that will empower TL's with a deeper understanding and motivation to guide their work.

The second SLANSW Professional Learning Summit of 2026 will be held in live online mode in the SLANSW Zoom Room, on Friday September 11, from 9:00 am – 3:00pm. The theme of the Summit is All the Literacies: Leading and Learning in the Digital Era. Our keynote speakers are Dr Kay Oddone (Director of Linking Learning Advisory), June Wall (Online Learning Tutor University of Western Sydney and Adjunct Lecturer CSU) and Jac Manison (Day of AI).  They will be accompanied by a number of talented and inspiring  presenters, as well as demonstrations from industry experts. 

Our program is also structured to foster networking with like-minded library professionals in breakout sessions as well as industry partners through our Vendor Spotlights. As a SLANSW member you are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity to build your professional expertise through keynote speakers and workshops which will add close to five hours of professional development.

Featured speakers:

Kay Oddone

Dr Kay Oddone is the Director of Linking Learning Advisory, a consultancy specialising in professional learning for educators and corporate teams, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University. A former teacher librarian with over twenty-five years’ of experience in schools and higher education, Kay now works with school, professional associations and businesses across Australia to build practical capacity in leadership, digital and information literacy, and the ethical integration of AI in learning.

June Wall

June Wall is a leading educator who works with organisations and schools to develop digital literacies and lifelong learning capacities. She is an online learning tutor for Western Sydney University and an Adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University (CSU). June has been a professional development lead, senior change manager, librarian at CSU and Notre Dame universities and library coordinator for the NSW Department of Education where she initiated and led the development of the Information Fluency Framework. She has been a teacher K-12, a lecturer, a professional development and education consultant, special librarian, teacher librarian, President of ASLA, and SLANSW and worked in the government and non-government sectors. While June is focused on developing and maintaining future-focused school libraries, her passion is in digital learning and the critical role teacher librarians can play in the development of student learning.
